There are many diseases that infect cotton, and common prevention methods include modification of farming practices and control of vectors of disease (most often aphids and whiteflies).


Some of the diseases of cotton are:

A plant suffering from bacterial blight

Boll rot due to a fungal infection.

Potassium deficiency can cause changes in leaf color and shape. This can be seen in older leaves first, late in the growing season.

Leaves turn to a yellow or red color due to mite damage. Severe damage causes the leaves to die.
